Crane Engineer Job Description

At Speedy Services, we are seeking a skilled Crane Engineer to join our team. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists, ensuring they are safe to use and meet legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists
  • Consult with customers to ensure next steps are recorded and prevention of breakdowns is prioritized
  • Anticipate and prevent problems before they occur
  • Carry out frontline maintenance, attending to breakdowns and fault finding
  • Perform retrofits, modernisations, and upgrades to customers' cranes and hoists
Requirements:
  • NVQ3, HNC, HND, or C&G electrical engineering qualification
  • Relevant industry experience working with cranes and hoists
  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Attributes:
  • Proven technical knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting machines
  • Excellent customer service manner, with strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
  • Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
