Cell Line Development Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cell Line Development Lead to join our innovative biotechnology company in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading the cell line development program, generating and enhancing cell lines that are crucial for producing cultivated fat at scale.

As the Cell Line Development Lead, you will collaborate with stem cell biologists, computational biologists, and bioprocess engineers to significantly influence the future of food. Your duties will be varied, but key responsibilities include:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Isolating, engineering, and validating new adipogenic cell lines.
  • Leading a dedicated team to develop and implement automated workflows for mammalian stem cell engineering.
  • Developing cell lines integral to our R&D and manufacturing processes.
  • Managing projects and coordinating workflows involving cell line development and molecular biology.

Role Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in molecular biology, synthetic biology, mammalian stem cell biology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in mammalian cell line development and genome engineering.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with molecular biology, cell line engineering tools, molecular cloning, and genetic construct design (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9, Flow Cytometry).
