About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based low-intensity psychological interventions to patients with common mental health problems in accordance with NICE guidelines and the Talking Therapies manual stepped care model.
  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and develop programmes of care packages.
  • Assess and support people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centred assessments which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and/or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary, or use clinical judgement to determine whether treatment is required at intensity psychological therapy.
  • Engage in regular clinical and case management supervision, clinical skills sessions and deliver group therapy.
  • Attend additional training as and when required.
