Job Title: Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse - Trauma & Orthopaedics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Trauma & Orthopaedics team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the safe and effective running of the Trauma Assessment Unit (TAU) on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the TAU unit, ensuring seamless patient care and treatment.
  • Liaise with medical teams and trauma coordinators to ensure timely patient care and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with ED colleagues to support the 4-hour waiting time target.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, taking into account their daily living activities.
  • Undertake risk assessments to inform patient care needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
  • Experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
