The ideal candidate will have strong clinical leadership skills, effective communication and presentational skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team. You will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Main Duties

  • Lead a team of nurses and support workers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients.
  • Act as a 'named nurse' for a specific group of inpatients and take responsibility for their individual nursing care needs.
  • Support the ward manager in delivering the unit's objectives in terms of patient care, staff development, and service development.
  • Undertake personal development and participate in staff appraisal and clinical supervision.
  • Articulate a clear vision of the standards expected within your team and actively contribute to a positive learning environment.
