About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join our team as a Lead Psychologist in a specialist mental health service for men who are deaf and have complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate treatment plans for service users with complex needs
  • Design and deliver specialist psychological treatment within mental health care services
  • Lead the psychology department in providing a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, and DBT
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, including psychologists and assistants
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives
Requirements
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society
  • Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology
  • Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users
  • Ability to identify and proactively resolve problems and challenges within the service
  • Experience in working with people with complex needs relevant to the population in the service area
