About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Planning Consultant to join our team at RPS Group. As a Principal Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in managing and delivering EIA projects, providing expert advice on EIA regulations, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a range of EIA projects, including screen, scope, and produce Environmental Statements
  • Provide advice on EIA regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines
  • Collaborate with our digital and design teams to develop our capacity in digital EIA
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on EIA best practices
  • Prepare bid/tender documents and work with our bid team to secure new projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A first degree in a relevant environmental subject and an MSc in a relevant topic, such as Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Management
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment, including managing EIA projects and providing expert advice on EIA regulations
  • Excellent report writing and review skills, with a good eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in working on NSIPs/DCO projects and the energy sector is desirable
