About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Designer to join our team at Capstone, a leading independent construction and property consultancy. As a key member of our specialist Principal Designer & CDM team, you will be responsible for delivering Principal Designer and CDM services on projects spanning multiple sectors, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects of varying sizes and complexities, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Assist in business development, fee proposals, and building client relationships to win new work.
  • Undertake site safety inspections as a Client CDM Advisor.
  • Develop and implement effective design solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver world-class services and foster an inclusive and supportive team culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure Capstone's services remain cutting-edge.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience (circa 10 years) in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience working in a client-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with BIM.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Camps' qualification with the APS and a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
