About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal or NQ Solicitor to join our Casualty Local Government Team in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the running of your own caseload of predominantly fast-track claims, including EL, PL, and Highways cases.

Our team provides a full, expert service in defending public and employers' liability claims, across the private sector and the public sector. We operate on a national basis with dedicated commercial insurance and public sector teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients, opponents, court, witnesses, and undertake liability investigations
  • Manage defendant EL/PL casualty claims, including handling own caseload
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans' values and policies
  • Ensure relevant deadlines, SLAs, quality measures, and KPIs are adhered to
  • Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
About You

You will be an experienced Paralegal or NQ Solicitor with a genuine interest in the area of work. We require you to have current experience at handling/ managing defendant EL/PL casualty claims, previous experience at managing defendant EL/PL, and a working knowledge of PL, EL, Highways, and Housing Law.

You will also need to have good drafting skills, influencing skills, excellent communication skills, and excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
