Job Title: Senior Research Scientist in Molecular Biology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our team at Talent Works. As a Senior Research Scientist in Molecular Biology, you will play a key role in expanding our capabilities in the field of molecular biology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute complex experiments to test therapeutic hypotheses and validate target biology.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of medicines that treat the underlying cause of serious diseases.
  • Work independently to design and execute focused research projects or a series of complex experimental procedures.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge molecular cell biology techniques and technologies for in vitro disease modeling.
  • Effectively communicate and present experimental conclusions at internal Group/Department or Project Team research meetings.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant Biological Science (e.g. Molecular or Cellular Biology).
  • Strong cell biology background, including a broad range of cell systems such as human iPSCs, differentiated cultures and primary cells.
  • Experience of CRISPR editing – designing editing strategy, generation and characterization of clones, as well as downstream quality control.
  • Versatile molecular biology experience including qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA, IHC and other cellular assays.
  • Proven track record for solving complex scientific problems and delivering high quality results, as demonstrated through an excellent publication history, supported by evidence of major individual contributions.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication and team working skills.
