About the Role

Bupa is seeking an experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team at our care home in Bristol. As a key member of our activities team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering activities that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation among our residents.

Your primary goal will be to create a warm and welcoming environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging among our residents. You will work closely with our care teams to develop tailored activity plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity plans that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to organize days out and events at the home.
  • Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, using tools like reminiscing puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Support the home's social media channels as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is creative, enthusiastic, and has excellent communication skills. You should be able to manage budgets, maintain paperwork, and prioritize tasks effectively. A background in a related field or experience working with older adults would be advantageous.
