The Recruit4Staff (Wrexham) company is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join their team in a manufacturing workshop near Ormskirk. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with manual lathes and machinery to utilize their skills in a productive environment.
Salary Package
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of up to £18 per hour, equivalent to £37,440 per annum, depending on experience. The position also includes enhanced overtime rates after 39 hours at x1.5, making it an attractive offer for individuals looking to boost their earnings. In addition to the basic pay rate, the company provides a pension scheme, free on-site parking, and access to an on-site canteen. Job Description
In this role, you will work within the company's workshop, setting and operating a manual lathe and other workshop machinery. You will be responsible for working from engineering drawings, quality checking products, and providing basic service and maintenance to workshop equipment. Your tasks will include:
- Setting and operating a manual lathe and manual boring machines
- Working from drawings
- Quality checking products
- Providing basic service and maintenance to workshop machinery
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you must possess a C&G/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, as well as proven experience working with a manual lathe. Additionally, you should have the ability to work from engineering drawings and be familiar with quality checking procedures. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential. A full driver's license is also required.
