Lane Clark & Peacock is seeking a highly skilled Energy Data Analyst to join our team in the short-term energy markets practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and a passion for the energy sector.

  • Work closely with the Power Trading team to develop and maintain our market-leading platform, Enact, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and research on the GB power market sector, identifying trends and patterns to inform our clients and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering, Infrastructure, Web, and Delivery teams to ensure the latest technology is integrated into our platform.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts, including energy companies, technology manufacturers, and policy makers.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and changes in policy, providing expert analysis and insights to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Relevant BSc, MSc, or PhD qualifications in a field such as energy, data science, or a related field.
  • Intermediate coding knowledge in C#, Python, or another equivalent language.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient use of Excel.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to think commercially about the needs of our clients.
