Overview:

As a Power Market Specialist at Shell Trading UK, you will be responsible for actively trading power and interconnector capacities in the short-term markets. This involves analyzing market trends, implementing risk management strategies, and producing detailed reports on trading activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize power market positions
  • Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to inform trading decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the UK and European energy markets
  • Proven track record in short-term power trading
  • Excellent decision-making abilities and effective communication skills
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in trading platforms
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering
