Our client, a well-established conglomerate operating within the Building and Electrical Infrastructure sector, boasts a nationwide presence and boasts a number of high-profile clients.

As part of the company's continued expansion in the Midlands region, FRS Ltd has been entrusted with the recruitment of a financially astute professional to join the organization as a Finance Business Partner or Financial Director. This role will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer, who oversees operations across the UK, while the successful candidate will focus on the Midlands-based business unit in Cradley Heath.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with the Business Unit Head to provide financial modeling and analysis
  • Work closely with the Business Unit Head on strategic financial planning
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and budgeting for the business unit
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for the business unit
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and be responsible for the P&L and balance sheet for the business unit
  • Implement Group financial processes and controls within the business unit

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and ideally experience gained in a similar commercially focused accounting position (Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant, FP&A)
  • Experience within the Building and Electrical Infrastructure sector is a significant advantage
  • Newly qualified or in the later stages of qualification or QBE, but demonstrating relevant experience will be considered

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced IT skills, especially Excel and strong analytical skills
  • A strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels, including at Board level
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing demands
  • Initiative in difficult situations and problem-solving
