About the Role

We are seeking an experienced secondary tutor to join our team at the Kip McGrath Education Centre in Huddersfield. As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in a small group setting, promoting their confidence and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology, focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Tutor students in a positive and caring manner, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Utilize our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons, minimizing preparation time.
  • Commit to every scheduled class, ensuring consistent support for students.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students and parents through effective communication and feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and goals, providing regular updates to parents.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree.
  • A current safeguarding certificate.
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • A positive and vibrant personality.
  • Confidence using software and computers.
  • A genuine love for learning and teaching.
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
