Primary Care Pharmacy Role in Central Cambridge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cambridge City 4 Primary Care Network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy law, ethics, and current legislation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services across six network GP practices in Cambridge.
You will be responsible for managing prescriptions, developing strong relationships with local community pharmacies, and providing excellent patient care in collaboration with our team of Clinical Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
We offer a competitive salary of £27,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management and development of prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective, and quality prescribing within the practices.
- Working closely with lead GP partners on individual prescribing projects or audits.
- Developing strong working relationships with local community pharmacies to assist patients and provide a high-quality service.
- Liaising with local pharmacies and hospitals regarding prescription queries and ensuring a smooth transition from Secondary to Primary Care.
- Answering ad hoc medication drug queries from GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within your expertise.
