We're seeking a highly skilled Carpenter Multi to join our team in North Hampshire, working from our Basingstoke base. This is a full-time, permanent role, requiring a 39-hour workweek, with participation in the emergency on-call rota.

As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy:

  • 26 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to buy or sell annual leave
  • Use of a company van and fuel card for work-related travel
  • A productivity-related bonus scheme to enhance your take-home pay
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • A generous contributory pension of 6%, with employer matching between 7% and 10%
  • Life assurance paid at 3 times your annual salary
  • Private medical insurance
  • Health care cash plan called Medicash
  • Enhanced pay for maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave
  • Access to counseling, legal, and financial information
  • Electric car scheme
  • A range of in-house and e-learning courses, as well as coaching and mentoring programs

As a Carpenter Multi, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works on our properties. This will primarily involve floor laying and carpentry, but you may also undertake other skilled tasks, such as tiling, plastering, decorating, and basic plumbing. You'll also perform light administrative duties and use an electronic handheld device.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in carpentry, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent). You'll need to provide proof of your qualifications at the interview stage. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. You should have demonstrable experience working in a multi-skilled role.

We strive to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. However, due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate must be capable of:

  • Working at heights
  • Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
  • A high degree of mobility, including walking, lifting, loading, and unloading vehicles

A full, clean current driving license is required, held for at least 1 year, to enable you to drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving license checks and DBS checks.
