Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Leader to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. As a key member of our Operational Delivery Profession, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of critical services and maintaining certification to international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to ensure adherence to international standards, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and monitor the resolution of compliance issues, including data breaches and complaints, and maintain appropriate records.
- Lead on external audits, producing and explaining management system documentation to auditors, and manage all changes and communications arising from non-conformities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including effective stakeholder management of bulk mail account managers.
- Develop, monitor, and update policy and procedures relating to all areas of the agency, ensuring alignment and adherence to international standards, legal, and regulatory requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied and diverse role, where no two days are the same. You will be part of a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, working across two DVLA sites, Ty-Felin and Morriston, with elements of travel within the UK and overseas.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a committed, strategic-focussed individual with strong analytical skills, who can build and maintain solid working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a thorough understanding of risk management, being able to link potential impacts to business objectives, SLA's, Agency targets, and customer requirements.
You will be a natural communicator, able to express yourself confidently and concisely, and represent the Agency in a professional and clear manner, ensuring key messages are delivered to both internal and external stakeholders.
