Embedded Software Developer for Digital Audio Mixing Products

A leading organization in the Octagon Group is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their R&D team in Surrey, UK.

The successful candidate will work closely with product specialists and other team members to design, develop, test, and support sophisticated embedded software for digital audio mixing products. The sub-systems they will work with typically interact with higher-level applications and lower-level audio-processing engines, providing interfacing to electromechanical user-interfaces.

This role requires a strong background in computer science or engineering, preferably with a 2.1 or 1st class degree, or equivalent experience gained through alternative paths. Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming languages is essential, along with experience in developing on ARM-based microcontrollers and FreeRTOS operating systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and testing high-quality embedded software;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects;
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers;
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development in a dynamic and innovative environment.
