Job Summary

We are seeking a Graduate Process Safety Engineer to join our team in the Integrated Solutions business unit. As a Graduate Process Safety Engineer, you will work on exciting projects that make a real impact on safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a project team to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Engage in consequence modelling using standard software packages such as PHAST and Flaresim.
  • Assist in scribing HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety reviews.
  • Contribute to the development of safety specifications to enhance project safety standards.
  • Support the design of safety systems, including firewater systems and blast protection measures.
  • Manage actions and follow up on safety-related tasks and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any relevant work placements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborative projects and safety reviews.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent in science or engineering, typically in Chemical Engineering.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical Engineering or Process Safety would be desirable.
