Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading software product business to find a talented Software Development Manager to support their Head of Engineering. This is a new role within the company, focusing on people and delivery management responsibilities to drive growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams to deliver large projects on time and on-budget, with a strong understanding of development principles and agile methodologies. They will be a positive, passionate, and inclusive leader, inspiring the team and acting as a role model to build on the company's strong culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver projects on time and on-budget
  • Develop and implement strategies for team growth and development
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to drive delivery and people management
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve performance
  • Work with the team to identify and implement continuous improvement processes

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams in a software development environment
  • Strong understanding of development principles and agile methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

This is a permanent role requiring the candidate to spend 1 day per week in the office, either in Newcastle or London. The role comes with a salary of £70-80,000 depending on experience.
