As a Financial Officer, you will be responsible for collecting large and difficult debts, escalating overdue debts to Legal, and liaising with them to pursue payment.

You will also ensure that leases and licenses are completed on time to collect fees and rents due.

Additionally, you will produce accounts, reminders, and follow-up procedures for collection according to timetables.

You will provide management with statistical information as required and carry out balancing and reconciliation.

Furthermore, you will assist with the design and implementation of new payment and monitoring processes to support developments in new service initiatives.

You will act as the key customer contact for debtors and develop good working relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and partners.

Finally, you will represent the team in meetings internally and externally.

Requirements
  • 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language.
  • Experience of working in a Exchequer Services environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to analyse financial information.
  • Experience of delivering a customer-oriented service.
  • AAT level 4 or equivalent qualification would be desirable.
