About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Pensions Consultant to join our team at WTW. As a qualified actuary, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on core UK defined benefit pensions actuarial work to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide actuarial advice on regular valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations, and factor reviews.
  • Work on innovative, market-leading projects such as integrated risk management, liability management, GMP equalisation, plan design strategy, and asset/liability modelling and journey planning strategy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality projects and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Take an active interest in the development of junior staff, delegating effectively and providing development opportunities through mentoring.

Requirements
  • Experience working as a qualified actuary on core UK defined benefit actuarial work.
  • IFoA qualified actuary (or equivalent).
  • Strong client-service orientation and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience of project management of large teams and projects, and proven delegation skills.
  • A sense of accountability, owning your work and taking pride in it, and a self-starter attitude, continually challenging yourself and willing to step outside of your comfort zone.
