Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Contract: Permanent Role

Hours: 8:30 to 3:30 - Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN in a lovely primary school in West Swindon. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person.

  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor students' progress, record observations, and provide feedback to the Class Teacher.
  • Assist with classroom organization, maintenance of resources, and ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students' social and emotional development through effective communication and rapport-building.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with Reception or KS1 children is highly desirable.
  • A patient and nurturing approach is essential for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the classroom and students is crucial.
  • A basic knowledge of the national curriculum and educational practices is necessary.

Estimated Salary Range: £22,500 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
