We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic planning team, working out of our Newcastle office, and covering projects throughout the North East. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven professional to play a pivotal role in the success and delivery of various projects across the region.

Your Mission

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will report to the Planning Manager and be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6 and MSP from first principles including resource and cost loading.

  • You will integrate and manage sub-contractor and supplier programmes with our own.
  • You will assimilate and interpret information from tender and project documentation.
  • You will understand civil construction techniques and develop them into a working programme.
  • You will coordinate with estimators and commercial teams on all programme aspects.
  • You will compile concise narratives, phasing, reports, and supporting documents for input into quality submissions for tenders and projects.
Requirements
  • You should have experience of delivering programme under the NEC form of contract.
  • You must have strong commercial and contractual acumen with a track record of change management within NEC contracts.
  • You require at least 5 years of planning experience and will need to communicate and manage your workload and support Planning Engineers within the region.
  • A qualification in Civil Engineering/Construction to HND level or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
