About the Academy

The Kassia Academy is a unique Alternative Provision Academy that supports children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide a tailored education that meets the individual needs of each learner, using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to re-engage them with their education.

Our academy is passionate about giving our young people the skills they need to make a valuable contribution to society and to fulfill their dreams. We recognize that education is not a 'one size fits all' model and we carefully tailor our provision to meet every individual's needs.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our high-quality school. This role will primarily be based at our Orford Jubilee Provision. The successful candidate will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional, with experience in engaging the most disengaged young learners.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with learners who have complex needs and challenging behaviour. You will need to have a proven track record of delivering excellence and a history of dealing with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

Key Information

The Kassia Academy is committed to promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check, provide suitable references, and provide evidence of qualifications.

This is a 36-hour per week, term-time plus 5 inset days role, with a full-time schedule of Monday to Thursday 8:30am-2:30pm and Friday 8:30am-2:30pm.
