Role Overview

The Senior Quality Control Inspector plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Boohoo Group products meet defined quality standards set by Product Technology/ Product Safety & Compliance to guarantee that products held out for sale are safe, fit for purpose, and legally compliant in the markets in which we retail.

This role involves overseeing the inspection processes at inbound delivery, conducting inspections and audits, and supporting the DC Product Manager on a day-to-day basis, deputising as required.

Your Team

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide intake auditors, providing training, direction, and support to ensure consistent and accurate evaluations.
  • Conduct post-shipment inspections and targeted audits generated by returns analysis and customer complaints to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards with clear and concise descriptions.
  • Record inspection results accurately and promptly in designated systems or forms, generating detailed reports for communication.
  • Ensure products adhere to industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, staying updated on relevant requirements.
  • Analyse quality data and trends to drive informed decision-making, generate detailed reports, and suggest corrective actions to management.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, design, and sourcing, to address quality concerns and provide feedback.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of managing and leading quality control teams within the fashion industry. You should possess a strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
