Financial Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team, covering a 9-12 month maternity cover. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting the overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Manage tax compliance and reporting activities to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team member to ensure effective team performance and development.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Perform day-to-day duties covering all aspects of finance, including payroll preparation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role with a strong track record of financial management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements, including CPA, CMA, or similar certification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems, with a strong understanding of CAPEX and financial planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a supportive and collaborative approach to team management.
Benefits:
  • Salary of Circa £45k – Fixed Term Contract (negotiable).
