International Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Title: International Trade Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

Fanatics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled International Trade Compliance Manager to support all facets of import/export trade operations and projects. The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders within supply chain, finance, logistics, operations, and other areas to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a point of reference for all Fanatics HUBS globally to ensure proper and accurate documentation for customs clearance purposes.
  2. Assign proper UK commodity codes for all imported merchandise into the UK and EU, and US HTS and/or UK commodity codes for all exports.
  3. Manage daily import/export operations compliance activities, including creating and maintaining a UK item database.
  4. Analyze potential savings programs within the UK or EU to optimize trade operations.
  5. Develop and maintain a Customs Compliance Program to support international business.
  6. Collaborate with 3rd party service providers to enhance, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures.
  7. Partner with sourcing, finance, logistics, and other internal and external cross-functional partners to ensure seamless trade operations.
  8. Conduct periodic reviews and audits of UK Customs Broker activities and KPIs to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  1. Strong knowledge of import/export operations and international trade regulations.
  2. Ability to work with urgency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong leadership and influencing skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Proven ability to think strategically and develop processes for improvement.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  6. Self-motivation and ability to work independently or in small teams.
  7. Bachelor's degree preferred, with +3 years of experience in apparel classification and 8 years of experience in international trade or similar regulatory environments.
