Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for assisting with statutory accounting and transitioning into a management role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business segment leaders to analyze and review financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely booking of management accounting entries.
  • Provide recommendations for weaknesses identified in internal controls.
  • Address AP/AR queries while working with the Transactional Team.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of financial statements in line with local regulations.
  • Communicate with regulatory authorities and external auditors as necessary.
  • Ensure timely filing of VAT, tax returns, and other statutory obligations.
  • Oversee the correct allocation of costs to business segments.
  • Presentation of balance sheet notes accurately and on time.
  • Support additional projects as directed by the Regional Controller.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Oracle, FMS, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Recognized accounting qualification or currently pursuing one; experience will also be considered.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective project management and people management skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with solid analytical skills.
  • Committed to quality and diligent in work efforts.
