Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Lincoln. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a personal tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management, and preparing and reviewing personal tax computations and returns.
About the Role- Manage a personal tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
- Prepare and review personal tax computations and returns.
- Offer personal tax advice.
- Provide expertise in Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and Domiciliary Tax.
- Lead liaison with HMRC, including preparing letters for senior review and reviewing letters prepared by junior staff.
- Build trusted client relationships, handle queries, and problem-solve.
- Deal with compliance work, including payment advice letters.
- Work closely across departments, such as audit, to obtain relevant information.
- Monitor the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
- Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.
- Delegate work to and manage junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control.
- Contribute to business development.

What We Offer- A competitive salary of £50,000 to £70,000 per annum.

- UK practice experience.
- Previous experience nurturing client relationships within practice.
- Significant personal tax compliance and advisory services experience.
- Supervisory level experience.
- Good basic knowledge across accountancy services.
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow and that of others.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and creative ideas for new processes and growth.
