About the Role: Chief Medical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at ProfDoc in Dewsbury, UK. As a Chief Medical Psychologist, you will be responsible for leading the psychiatric care of patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead psychiatric assessments and diagnosis for patients within an inpatient setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring patient-centered care
  • Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and other team members
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care
  • Offer support for mental health and crisis management, including medication management
  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice, adhering to relevant policies and guidelines
  • Provide teaching, training, and support to staff and contribute to clinical audits and research
  • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the GMC and a valid license to practice
  • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
