About the Role

As a Prison Officer with Serco Plc, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, and visitors in our prisons. You will be responsible for supervising prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity, overseeing work and education programs, and managing operational matters such as prisoner headcounts and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity
  • Oversee work and education programs to encourage prisoner participation
  • Manage operational matters such as prisoner headcounts, prison cell searching, and security
  • Manage prisoners who are at risk of self-harm

Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to pass security clearance checks
