As a Prison Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, and visitors in our prisons. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to reducing reoffending rates and providing a supportive environment for rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Oversee work and education programs, encouraging prisoners to participate and engage in positive activities.
  • Operational matters such as prisoner headcounts, prison cell searching, security, and administrative processes.
  • Manage prisoners who are at risk of self-harm, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety.
