Debt Advisory Associate Director

At Teneo, we are seeking a highly skilled Debt Advisory Associate Director to join our European Debt Advisory team in London. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to advise boards, management teams, lenders, and shareholders on optimizing capital structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage specific workstreams on debt advisory engagements, providing support to senior team members and external stakeholders.
- Project manage parts of an engagement, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with clients.
- Develop and present financing options to clients, leveraging your expertise in debt markets and financial structuring.
- Liaise with clients' lawyers to understand key aspects of legal documentation and drive documentation processes.
- Manage teams and create effective delegation and development opportunities for junior members.
- Understand and actively manage the company's risk from take-on through to completion of engagements.
- Support business development activities, identifying and pursuing potential opportunities through your network and existing programs.
- Broad financial structuring experience gained in a professional services company, consultancy, or investment bank.
- Strong understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements, and relevant financial and legal documentation.
- Good understanding of the financial marketplace, its trends, and key players.
- Developed network of relevant contacts in the market.
- Very strong analytical skills, including business analytics, business planning, short-term cash flows, and financing options.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of leading teams and providing advice to clients in difficult situations.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams and develop people.
