We are seeking a Research Impact Investigator to join our team at the AI Safety Institute. As a Research Impact Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating the effects of advanced AI models on society, with a focus on understanding how these models can impact people and society.

You will work closely with our researchers to design and run studies that answer important questions about the impact of AI on people and society. This includes developing and implementing research methodologies, working with data analytics tools, and contributing to the strategy of the team.

We are interested in candidates with a diverse range of backgrounds, especially those with experience in research in areas such as computational social science, machine learning, data science, natural language processing, and AI safety research. A specialization in social or political science, economics, cognitive science, criminology, security studies, or another relevant field is also desirable.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000-£85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. You will have opportunities for development and mentorship, as well as regular interactions with our highly talented and experienced staff across the Institute.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new research methods and tools, as well as collaborate with other researchers to publish papers and present findings at conferences.
