Wilkinson And Associates is partnering with a business based in Glasgow to help source a Payroll Manager to join a highly established and successful team. Our client offers hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the payroll teams and pension team to ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
- Manage and lead the payroll team to deliver payrolls on time and accurately.
- Provide support and training to payroll staff on dealing with varying pay enquiries.
- Perform routine control checks and auditing on payroll processes.
- Process end-to-end payroll when payroll operations managers and team leaders are absent or business needs require.
- Provide analytical data and reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure third-party, advance payments are checked, approved, and paid on time.
- Payroll sign-off for all payrolls before going to finance departments for approval.
- Ensure payroll manuals and workflows are kept up to date.
- Participate and lead cross-functional teams to implement new processes and recommend changes.
- Ensure payroll dashboards are completed accurately.
- A proven track record in payroll data administration and managing a payroll team.
- Specialist system knowledge.
- Possess management skills to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, statutory, and national insurance rules.
- Problem-solving skills (calculations, numeracy, analytical).
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel (spreadsheets).
- Attention to detail and accuracy skills.
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Skill to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong relationship management skills.
