We are recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to join our Thatcham site. The main purpose of the role is to assist the General Manager in the overall development, performance, and maintenance of the site operational activities to obtain the maximum efficiency, quality, service, and profitability. While ensuring all requirements to safety and wellbeing are being fully implemented.

Assistant General Manager role details:

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week

Working pattern: Monday - Friday

Location: Thatcham, RG19 4BQ

What you'll do

  • The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving mechanisms for site activities, including surveying and measuring the operations, process, outcomes, and profitability of the site and feedback to the appropriate internal entities
  • You will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in leading the site and ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day running of the operation to achieve maximum customer satisfaction
  • You will set clear objectives for your team to understand the key priorities and can monitor performance effectively
  • Ensuring all requirements to safety and wellbeing are being fully implemented
Who you are:
  • Leadership with ability to assist in driving site and team
  • Thorough understanding of business process and management, requirements, and dynamics
  • Experience in an equivalent role
  • Ability in process and management and customer/supplier relationship management
  • Versatile, with a well-rounded operational background
  • Motivational, forward-thinking, and adaptable style of management – consistently investing in your team to ensure that they are given every opportunity to succeed and develop
  • Proven ability to coach and develop others
  • High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
