Project Engineer Job Description

Blue Projects is a dynamic consulting firm that provides bespoke Engineering and Project Management solutions to clients in the industrial sector.

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our United Kingdom team, working within the Project Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing technical compliance, maintaining relationships with subcontractors, and ensuring project milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications to define process requirements
  • Create 2D/3D designs for piping systems, production lines, packaging systems, or other mechanical equipment
  • Meet with clients or consultants to understand design needs
  • Prepare and complete action plans
  • Determine system improvements and implement changes
  • Create, verify, and validate Material Take Offs (MTOs)
  • Present reports on project progress, problems, and solutions
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Engineering/Project Management
  • Good English speaking and writing skills; French or German is an advantage
  • Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent (mechanical preferred)
  • Modeling skills for plant layout, piping/mechanical design, and detailing
  • Experience with multidisciplinary coordination
  • Advanced time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel for business
