Autism Support Worker in Education Job Opportunity

Empowering Learning is committed to providing high-quality education and support services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our team and contribute to the development of our pupils.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide direct support to pupils with ASD, facilitating their social, emotional, and educational development. As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring that each child receives tailored support and reaches their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  2. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  3. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to share progress and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD or similar conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply.
