Compassionate Caregiver

Corserv Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our West Cornwall team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and well-being. You will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and occupational therapists to develop personalized care plans that cater to each client's needs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a passion for supporting others. A valid full driving license and reliable transportation are essential requirements for this role. In addition, you should have a basic understanding of reablement and care provision, as well as previous experience in supporting vulnerable adults.
What You'll Do
You will provide care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and well-being. This includes assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping. You will also support clients to access community opportunities, work with families, healthcare professionals, and occupational therapists, and participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Benefits and Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £12.36 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and time-and-a-half enhancements on bank holidays. A key aspect of this role is your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations. You will work every other weekend, with a regular Week A/Week B rolling rota to promote a healthy work-life balance. You will also be expected to cover some evening shifts and travel to various locations in the West Cornwall area.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have a FULL DRIVING LICENCE that's valid to drive in the UK, current right to work in the UK, and an understanding of reablement and care provision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as basic IT skills and great time management. An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and ability to complete relevant DBS checks are also required.
