Job Opportunity: Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled Contracts & Procurement Lawyer with a specialism in Construction to join our client, a well-respected London Council, on a locum basis.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working within the Public Sector, ideally within a Local Authority, and good knowledge of public procurement. They will be required to work full-time hours and attend the offices in London one or two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advising on construction contracts using JCT and NEC protocols
  2. Providing legal advice on Contracts, Procurement, Corporate and Commercial Law, Data Protection, and Competition Law
  3. Acting on behalf of the Council in respect of the procurement of various contracts including Works and Services, Concession Contracts, Waste Contracts, Building and Construction Contracts, and Back to Back Agreements
  4. Interpreting Contracts and other legal documentation, and responsible for complex drafting and execution

Salary: £60-£80 per hour (dependent on experience)
