Job Title: Principal Design Railway CRE

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Engineer to join our London-based Design consultancy team. As a key member of our Rail Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading design projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

About the Role:
  • Lead design projects for rail infrastructure, including stations, depots, bridges, and retaining structures
  • Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Develop and present civil engineering solutions to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions
  • Manage project resources, including design supply chains and internal teams
  • Produce fee proposals and manage project commercial progress
  • Liaise with clients and manage design progress meetings
Requirements:
  • Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with a strong background in rail engineering
  • Demonstrable success in leading design projects for rail infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of managing resources across multiple projects and workloads
  • Ability to produce high-quality designs and solutions, with a focus on commercial and technical delivery
