Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Hays Senior Finance. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial management and analysis to support business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and financial forecasts.
    • Provide insightful analysis and commentary on business performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Financial Leadership
    • Lead the finance team to ensure effective financial management and control, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Financial Governance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, including statutory returns and audit requirements.
    • Develop and maintain effective financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including the board of directors and external auditors.
    • Develop and maintain effective financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Requirements

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment with stock accounting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home per week
