About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and financial forecasts.
    • Provide insightful analysis and commentary on business performance, identifying areas of underperformance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Financial Leadership
    • Lead the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks, including audit requirements and statutory returns.
    • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Business Partnership
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including VAT, intrastat, and corporation tax.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the company cashflow model.
Requirements
  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with stock accounting
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of financial leadership and business growth
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working arrangement (4 days in office, 1 day from home per week)
