Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Inspector to join our dynamic team at Killingholme. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth inspection, logging, and parking of vehicles in our compound.

About the Role:

This is a temp-to-perm contract with a competitive hourly rate of £14.10. You will work 4 days on, 4 days off, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, you will direct arriving vehicles to designated parking areas, coordinate with the administration team, and assist with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI). You will also ensure accurate labelling of all vehicles and communicate with drivers regarding parking instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct arriving vehicles to designated parking areas within the compound, ensuring visitor paperwork is signed and vehicles are logged into the system via tablet.
  2. Coordinate with the administration team on all arrivals and departures.
  3. Inspect vehicles being loaded and unloaded onto trucks.
  4. Assist with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) as required, including checks on fluid levels, battery, tyre pressure, and safety features (lights, brakes, and wipers). Ensure both the interior and exterior are free from defects or damage, meeting quality standards.
  5. Ensure accurate labelling of all vehicles.
  6. Communicate with drivers regarding parking instructions within the compound.
  7. Move vehicles through designated lanes efficiently and promptly.
  8. Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
  9. Carry out other duties as required in line with the role's level and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • You must be over the age of 22 and hold a full Driving license with less than 6 penalty points/No DR10 Offences.
  • You should be reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
