Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a skilled Family Hub Practitioner to join our team in the Dover District. As a Family Hub Practitioner, you will work closely with integrated children's services teams and multi-agency partners to provide support for vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to children and their families in a variety of outreach settings, including home visiting.
  • Work with a range of partners, including schools, police, district council, and community organizations, to provide support for vulnerable children and their families.
  • Facilitate and support peer groups, and provide expert guidance to families about baby and child development.
  • Support families to access the Family Hub Digital and Virtual offer and other routes of advice and guidance.
  • Work flexibly across the 11-19 age range, and may be required to support work across the wider age range where needs arise in the district.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a whole family approach and work around the times of the family.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
  • Command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
