Editor - B2B Food Publishing Portfolio Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Editor to join our team at Yandell Publishing Ltd, a leading media and events company in the food industry. As Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality content across our print and online portfolio, including magazines, websites, and email newsletters.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and edit our printed issues, from cover to cover, working closely with our design team.
- Daily upkeep of our websites, ensuring content is relevant and engaging, and working with our CMS to create news and features with eye-catching headlines.
- Write news stories and features for both the magazine and website, conducting interviews with industry experts and thought leaders.
- Organize workload through our in-house team and freelance contributors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Plan each printed issue, meeting the needs of our readers while satisfying the marketing requirements of advertisers.
- Work with our commercial team to ensure advertisers are satisfied and engaged.
- Source relevant stories, turning them into quality content through research and developing relationships with the food and meat industry.
- Assist with content and press duties for our own events.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of our content and engagement.
- Previous experience as an editor, deputy editor, or section editor.
- Fast, accurate, and excellent writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality copy.
- A keen understanding of SEO and a willingness to evolve best practices.
- Experience working with content management systems for producing web content.
- Knowledge of creating engaging email newsletters.
- Experience managing social media pages.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience in the food industry is an advantage but not essential.
