Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalized support and guidance to students with special educational needs, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and guidance to students with SEN, working closely with teachers and therapists to develop individualized support plans.
  • Foster social interactions and communication skills in a nurturing environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and behaviour interventions, utilizing diverse teaching methods tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with SENCO, parents, and external agencies, maintaining detailed records of student progress and interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development to enhance teaching skills and advance in the field of education.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions.
  • Priority given to applicants with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Commitment to student success and well-being.
  • Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties or other SEN preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy.
